Investing in Astro Dynamic

We are building the place where Earth Observation data is bought with confidence. If that is a market you want to back, our data room has the plan, the model and the pipeline.

The opportunity

Satellite imagery is becoming ordinary evidence in insurance, lending and defence, but it is still bought one provider at a time.

Each provider has its own portal, contract and format, so a buyer who needs more than one source pays for every integration and carries the licensing risk alone. For regulated buyers that risk is the real obstacle, because they need to show that every image was used within its terms.

The same need runs well beyond insurance and lending. Commodities traders watch crops, stockpiles and shipping from orbit; security and intelligence teams depend on fresh, licensed imagery; agriculture and petrochemicals use it to monitor land, pipelines and plants. Maritime, mining, infrastructure and utilities, and environmental reporting all buy the same data under the same constraints.

Data Sphere answers both problems at once. providers are integrated once and reached through one API, and each signed licence is enforced by the platform’s own permissions. The more providers join, the more useful the platform is to buyers, which in turn draws more providers.

Where we are

Data Sphere opened to the public in October 2026, a month after we signed a reseller agreement with Vantor, formerly Maxar Intelligence, for WorldView imagery at 30 cm.

Orbview and Vantor at 30 cm, Esper’s hyperspectral data and Copernicus open data are searchable on the platform now. We have partnerships with Mission Space and Pan Galactic, and the company has come through the UK Space Agency’s Explore, Fusion and Gov Bridge programmes, SETsquared’s Investment Readiness Programme and Cosmic Capital. The full history is on our About page.

Why us

We spent five years building Data Sphere before opening it, because we wanted to get it right.

Other platforms started long after us and reached the market sooner. We chose not to race them. Turning legal agreements into permissions the code enforces is slow, specialist work with each provider’s contracts, and it cannot be bolted on to a storefront afterwards.

Each provider relationship is negotiated and integrated individually, and every one we add raises the cost for anyone starting later.

The company is run by its three co-founders, who between them cover the commercial, technical and business development work. Meet them.
