Insurers, banks, farmers and defence teams all use satellite imagery, and buying it still means a separate contract, portal and licence with each supplier, and no easy way to show what you used and why.
We’re a Swindon company, and we’ve been working on that since 2021. Data Sphere is the result.

Stuart Allan
Co-founder and Chief Executive
Stuart runs the company day to day and looks after our investors and partners. He spent more than 20 years in managed services before co-founding Astro Dynamic.

Ryan Horgan
Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer
Ryan designed and built Data Sphere and leads its engineering today, from each provider integration to the licence checks built into its permissions. He holds an MEng in Astronautics Engineering.

Vinay Williams
Co-founder and Head of Business Development
Vinay brings providers and customers onto Data Sphere. He worked on rocket propulsion and space mission software before Astro Dynamic, and has a PhD in computational plasma physics.
How we got here
- 2021
Took part in the Manufacturing for Good Accelerator at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
- 2023
Joined the UK Space Agency Explore programme.
- 2024
Went through the UK Space Agency Fusion and Gov Bridge programmes, Cosmic Capital and the SETsquared Investment Readiness Programme, and pitched Astro Dynamic at the Defence in Space Conference.
- 2025
Joined Space South Central, released the first version of Data Sphere and exhibited at the Farnborough International Space Show. Partnerships with Mission Space and Pan Galactic followed in the summer.
- 2026
Signed with Vantor in September and opened Data Sphere to the public in October.
